System Requirements
  • Operating system: Windows 7 or later, 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel i5 or i7 processor
  • Memory: 8 GB of system memory
  • Video card: Nvidia GTX 1050 ti or later

For best performance, Foresight recommends:

  • RTX 2060 Premium: RTX 2070 or 2080

Foresight Sports newest addition to the storied line of GC launch monitors, the GC3 delivers everything you need to take your game to a whole new level. Use it outdoors on the course - or the range - for instant game-performance feedback. Use it indoors for the ultimate golf simulation experience. No other launch monitor delivers this level of accuracy, versatility, and portability for the price.

The GC3 uses a triscopic (three-camera) photometric system with integrated infrared lighting to directly measure the golf ball and club at impact—indoors or out. It captures the first inches of ball flight in ultra-high detail, resolving dimple rotation to derive spin and launch with exceptional repeatability. In short: you get true, measured data you can trust for fitting, coaching or home practice.

It’s engineered for everyday usability: a bright touchscreen, auto-levelling accelerometer and onboard barometer (so readings auto-correct to local conditions), plus a generous hitting zone. Connectivity is simple - Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB-C (and Bluetooth support for the Foresight app) - and the 5–7 hour battery keeps you on the range or in the sim for extended sessions. Compact and portable at 2.3 kg (15.2 × 30.5 × 12.7 cm).

Out of the box you get essential ball data; clubhead data (1-dot) is available and directly measures club speed, efficiency (smash), club path, and angle of attack. For analysis and sim play, GC3 works with Foresight’s software ecosystem (FSX Pro; bundles available that include FSX Play/FSX 2020 and course packs). Unlike region-locked variants sold under other brands, the GC3 package itself does not require ongoing subscriptions.

GC3 Launch Monitor — FAQ

What data does the GC3 actually measure (ball + club)?

Ball: ball speed, launch angle, side angle, total/back/side spin (spin axis), carry distance.
Club (with the Clubhead Measurement add-on): club head speed, smash factor (efficiency), club path, angle of attack. You’ll use a single reflective club marker (“1-dot”) for club metrics.

How accurate is the GC3 indoors and outdoors?

GC3’s triscopic (three-camera) photometric system images the first centimetres of ball flight and reads dimple rotation to resolve spin. An onboard accelerometer (auto-levelling) and barometric sensor adjust for environment, so you get consistent data in a sim or on the range.

Does the GC3 need club stickers/markers?

For club data, yes. The GC3 uses the 1-dot club marker approach. Ball data is directly measured without ball stickers.

Does the GC3 require a subscription?

No. GC3 features work without an ongoing subscription.

What’s the difference between GC3 and GCQuad?

Both are photometric and tour-trusted. GCQuad adds a fourth camera, a larger hitting zone, longer battery life, Bluetooth, and deeper optional club/putting analytics; GC3 remains smaller, lighter, and more affordable with core club metrics via 1-dot.

Is the GC3 a portable launch monitor?

Yes. It’s 2.3 kg, compact (approx. 15.2 × 30.5 × 12.7 cm), with 5–7 hours battery life - easy to move between range and simulator.

Which software works with GC3 (and what’s included)?

GC3 connects with FSX Pro (included). Many bundles also include FSX Play and FSX 2020 with course packs (Essentials Plus / Players Plus). FSX Play/2020 run on Windows PC and support GC3.

What PC do I need for FSX Play / FSX 2020?

Foresight recommends Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Intel i5/i7/i9 7th-gen+, 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended), and NVIDIA RTX 3060 or better (RTX 3070 Ti/3080/3090 recommended). AMD GPUs aren’t supported.

What’s the GC3 hitting zone and ball position?

The defined hitting zone is 7” × 10” (17.8 × 25.4 cm). Use the included alignment stick and keep the unit level; place the ball within the marked zone for each shot.

How does GC3 connect—Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB-C, Bluetooth?

Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB-C are supported.

Is GC3 good for smaller simulator rooms?

Photometric units don’t need the long radar-tracking distance. If you can swing comfortably and position the ball in the hitting zone, GC3 works well in compact bays; just ensure safe ceiling height and a suitable screen/projector setup.

Which data points are measured vs derived with the GC3?

GC3 uses high-speed imaging to measure launch, speed and spin (via dimple tracking). Club metrics (with 1-dot) are captured at impact. Downrange totals (e.g. total distance) are modelled within FSX based on measured launch conditions.

What’s included in the box?

Typical bundles include the GC3 unit, FSX Pro, power supply, USB-C cable, alignment stick, and club markers; software/course entitlements may vary by bundle.
